Haunts - Halloween comes alive!
Balboa Island--When you visit Southern
California, be sure to take a trip to Newport Beach and
specifically Balboa Island. Any time is great but one
exceptional holiday falls on Oct. 31 annually--Halloween.
Leading up to the big day, you'll see creative decorations in and around homes on the Island. The Island is part of Newport Beach is accessible on the mainland via Pacific Coast Highway, or can be accessed from Newport Peninsula by riding the ferry across the harbor.
Festive orange flower beds are designed with seasonal colors of yellow, orange and red, welcoming tourists who travel by ferry to enjoy oceanfront strolls along South Bayfront. Halloween decorations are installed and the displays are quite entertaining.
Newport Beach's Balboa Island is one of the best walking destinations in California, and the holidays--Halloween and Christmas provide extra enjoyment for those who get out and explore the island on foot.
